The Wardrobe
2009 was a great year for live music at The Wardrobe. The last twelve months have seen some truly phenomenal international performers grace the venue’s stages - from the Latin soul of Joe Bataan to the hard salsa of La Excelencia, the raw hiphop of The Furious Five and Kurtis Blow, the stone-cold funk of the Haggis Horns and – who could forget – the staggering Wardrobe Superfunk Allstars superband that saw The Wardrobe’s tenth birthday go down in history! The venue also showcased Argentinean folk hero Chango Spasiuk, Adam Ficek’s solo project Roses Kings Castles, jazz-punk noiseniks Acoustic Ladyland and the inimitable samba-jazz maelstrom that is The Grand Wazoo!
